Top 25 Men’s College Basketball Results and Scores on March 8

(Sporting Alert) — Scores and results from the NCAA College men’s top 25 basketball on Saturday, March, 8, as Duke (24-7), Florida (29-2) and Wichita State (33-0) all secured victories.

However, No. 3 Arizona (28-3) had a setback on the day, falling to their third defeat of the season, following a 64-57 defeat at the hands of Oregon (22-8).

No. 4 Duke looked very impressive on “Senior Night” at Cameron Indoor Stadium, after Jabari Parker scored a career-high 30 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead the Blue Devils past No. 14 and ACC rivals North Carolina, 93-81.

No.1 Florida was very impressive as well when beating No. 25 Kentucky (22-9), 84-65 to finish 18-0 in SEC, while No. 2 Wichita State stayed perfect on the season at 33-0, with a 67-42 victory over Missouri State (20-12).

In anther upset on the day, the unranked West Virginia (17-14) withstood a 41 points performance from Jayhawks freshman Andrew Wiggins to stun No.8 Kansas (23-8), 92-86.

Elsewhere, No. 11 Louisville (26-5) cruised to an easy 81-48 victory over No. 19 Connecticut (24-7), while No. 13 Creighton (24-6) led by Doug McDermott’s special outing on Senior Night, picked up an 88-73 win over Providence (20-11).

McDermott delivered a career-high 45 points on his way to becoming only the eighth player in Division I history to go over 3,000 for a career.

“I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d reach 3,000,” McDermott said. “To do it in this building is special because of the way the fans have always been.”
