LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Tottenham has made eight changes from the team which beat Hull City 1-0 in the English Premier League on Sunday for tonight’s League Cup clash against the same opponents at White Hart Lane.

Amongst the changes is up front where Jermain Defoe has been handed the starting place to lead the attack, with Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen also starting the game.

Etienne Capoue returns from an ankle he suffered in September and his on the bench, with Lewis Holtby and Andros Townsend also named as substitutes.

Hull City, in the meantime, makes five changes from the side that featured in the last outing as manager Steve Bruce look to surprise the favourites and progress from the fourth round.
