MIAMI, FL (15 Jan) — The SEC men’s basketball standings for 2022-23 are shaping to be an exciting race to the top, and in this post, I will describe the current leaders on Sunday, January 15, as well as the teams that are struggling in league play.
Currently, Alabama leads the conference with a 5-0 record and an overall record of 15-2. The Crimson Tide have been dominant at home, going 9-0, and have also found success on the road with a 4-0 record. Overall, the Crimson Tide are enjoying a six-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Auburn is currently sitting in third place in the SEC men’s basketball standings for 2023 with a 4-1 conference record and an overall record of 14-3. The Tigers have been dominant at home, going 10-0, and are one of the two teams on a three-game winning streak in conference play.
At the bottom of the standings, Ole Miss has yet to win a conference game, with a 0-5 record and has lost six straight games in overall contests.
Since kicking off the new season with an impressive 6-0 record, the Rebels have gone 2-9 in the next 11 games overall. They will next face South Carolina before taking on a pair of ranked teams –No. 15 Arkansas and No. 20 Missouri.
