The Argentine midfielder was unused substitute in the 1-1 draw with Monaco on Sunday, but comes into the starting, while Thiago Motta starts this time on the bench.

With leading defender Thiago Silva out injured, Laurent Blanc welcome the return of Alex from injury and he will play alongside Marquinhos, Lucas Digne and Christophe Jallet in the backline.

Gregory Van Der Wiel is out, while Maxwell has been dropped to the bench.
