LIVERPOOL (Sporting Alert) — Raheem Sterling has scored a brilliant goal to give Liverpool the lead in their Barclays Premier League clash with Manchester City at Anfield.

A brilliant play by forward Luis Suarez, who eased Gael Clichy off the ball and then played a through ball for Sterling, resulted in the Liverpool youngster turning his markers, including the advancing Joe Hart in the box, before passing the ball into an empty goal.
The ball from Suarez found Sterling, whose move through the middle saw him getting behind Vincent Kompany before showing remarkable composure under pressure before making the finish looked easy in the sixth minute of play.
Meanwhile, Manchester City have been dealt an even bigger blow, with an uncomfortable Yaya Toure forced to be substituted in the 19th minute with what looks like a right groin injury. Javi Garcia comes on to replace him in the midfield.
