MIAMI (SportingAlert) — Manchester United and Liverpool will face off in the final of the International Champions Cup at Sun Life Stadium here in Miami, Florida on Monday night.

Both teams are undefeated in the tournament after topping their respective groups and both Brendan Rodgers and Louis van Gaal will be hoping to continue that good run as their head into the final preparation for the start of English Premier League season.
The game, meanwhile, maybe just a preseason contest, but both sets of players are taking the game very seriously.
In fact, Mexican forward Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez says that while things are still in preseason mode, Manchester United have been treating every game on tour as though they were a regular season contest.
“The games have been friendlies but we’ve treated them like important matches,” Hernandez told MUTV. “It was a very good win and a very good performance [against Real Madrid].
“The boss told us that the most important thing here is to play as a team.
“We’re getting used to the system he wants us to play and with every game we’re looking to improve. That’s good for us.”
Liverpool got the better of OIympiacos, Manchester City and AC Milan to reach the final of the tournament from Group B, while Manchester United booked their International Champions Cup final place from Group A by overcoming Inter Milan, Roma and Real Madrid, who they defeated 3-1 at the weekend.
