Defender Laurent Koscielny returns to the starting lineup after missing out at Emirates Stadium on Monday because of a mild back injury.
The Frenchman comes back in place of Calum Chambers and he will play alongside Gabriel in the heart of the backline.
Further up the field sees Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain replacing German playermaker Mesut Ozil, who misses the game because of a minor knee problem.
In the attack, England forward Theo Walcott replaces Olivier Giroud as the center forward with Wenger looking to add more pace to his attack.
“A slight injury for Mesut Ozil. Walcott and Giroud have different qualities. Two great strikers and let’s hope it is the right decision,” Wenger on BT Sport on his team selection.
“Let’s keep creating the chances.”
Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey, Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla all start as well for Arsenal in this early kick-off.
For Newcastle United meanwhile, Florian Thauvin has been handed his first Premier League start, as the hosts make three changes to the side the started against Manchester United in last weekend’s goalless draw at Old Trafford.
Coming in as well are Moussa Sissoko and right-back Daryl Janmaat returning from suspension.
Manager Steve McClaren is hoping his team can produce a good result against Arsenal, as they look to improve this season.
Aleksandar Mitrovic, Jack Colback, Vurnon Anita and Georginio Wijnaldum all start this game as well.
“The club have gone into the transfer market, bought five very good players and now we have to produce the results on the field,” he told BT Sport.
“The new boys have settled in well.”
