World Cup Final Group Points Standings

(SportingAlert) – Final group standing on Friday at the 2014 FIFA World Cup after the last set of group games that took place on Thursday.

The pairings are now set for the last 16, and while several big names, including defending champions Spain, Italy and England are out of the tournament, there are still lots of top teams, such as the Netherlands, Brazil, Argentina and Germany, still left in the competition.

The final Group G  fixtures saw Germany beating the United States 1-0 to top the points standing, while Portugal ended the tournament with a 2-1 win over Ghana.

There was some shake-up in Group H as well, as while Belgium finished the points standings with maximum nine-points from their three games, Russia was knocked out after Fabio Capello side drew 1-1 with Algeria, who went through.

The Netherlands, Colombia, Argentina and Belgium all finished undefeated and with a 100-percent record from the group standings.
