No. 20 FLORIDA 81, BAYLOR 60
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Chris Chiozza scored 20 points, including 13 straight starting midway through the first half, and No. 20 Florida thumped Baylor 81-60 in the Big 12/SEC Challenge on Saturday.
Chiozza, who shot 7 of 10 from the field and made four 3-pointers, also added six assists, six rebounds and two steals in the win to bounce back from the midweek loss to South Carolina.
Jalen Hudson hit four 3-pointers in his 17-point performance off the bench, while Egor Koulechov went 5 of 6 from the field, including 3 for 3 from long-range and scored 16 points with eight rebounds for the Gators (15-6), who were winning for the ninth time in their last 11 games.
Terry Maston led Baylor with 14 points and six rebounds off the bench.
Mark Vital finished with 11 points and Manu Lecomte ended with 10 in the defeat for the Bears (12-9), who shot 40-percent, but were just 3 for 15 from 3-point range.
Florida connected on 14 3-pointers for 56 percent and shot 52 percent overall from the field.
