LONDON, Sporting Alert – Scores and points standings from English Premier League matches after the fixtures that were played on Sunday, September 18.

Manchester City continue to set the pace English Premier League standings after Pep Guardiola’s men registered their fifth straight victory of the season to go two points clear at the top of the points table.

The Citizens, still playing without leading for Sergio Aguero, hammered Bournemouth 4-0 on Saturday to move to 15 points, and are averaging three goals per game.

Everton, currently sit second with 13 points after beating Middlesbrough 3-1 on Saturday as well, with Tottenham shooting to third place with 11 points.

Arsenal, which won their third game in the lead this season and are on 10 points, occupy the last Champions League slot at the moment.

Chelsea went down to Liverpool last Friday night, but sit ahead of their rivals in the standings on goal difference, with both sides on 10 points.

Manchester United were stunned 3-1 by Watford and they fell to 7th in the points standings, as Jose Mourinho’s side dropped back-to-back games in the Premier League and three in a row overall.

Champions Leicester City thrashed Burnley 3-0, while Crystal Palace cruised by Stoke City 4-1.

Meanwhile, West Ham United, Sunderland and Stoke City continue to struggle after five games, as they hold up the three spots in the relegation zone at the moment.
