Jamaica International Invitational Order of events and Live Results

KINGSTON, Jamaica (Sporting Alert) — Order of events for the 2014 Jamaica International Invitational Track and Field Meet taking place at the National Stadium in Kingston, on Saturday, May 3.

The annual event will see a host of international and local stars competing, including Jamaica World and Olympic champion Shelly- Ann Fraser-Pryce, who will race over the women’s 200m dash. It was setup to be an early clash with American Allyson Felix, but the latter was forced to pull out of the meet because of an injury.

Other international stars on the list are American Brianna Rollins, who will race in the women’s 100m hurdles, as well as Blessing Okagbare (NIG), English Gardner (USA), and Asha Philip (GBR) in the women’s 100m dash. Jamaica’s Kerron Stewart is also listed for this event.

On the men’s side, American Justin Gatlin will face Jamaica duo Nesta Carter and Kemar Bailey- Cole in the men’s 100m, while USA’s LaShawn Merritt, Tony McQuay, and Jamaica’s Edino Steele and Dominican star Luguelin Santos, are down for the men’s 400m.

Elsewhere, Jamaica’s Hansle Parchment goes in the men’s 110m hurdles, while the men’s Shot Put event should be interesting with Americans Reese Hoffa, Christian Cantwell and Ryan Whiting all entered.

The meeting starts at 5:50, with the last event on the schedule set for 10:15.
