The Manchester United forward is still working on his game shape and sharpness ahead of the World Cup and will come off the bench today, as Giovani Dos Santos has been selected to partner Oribe Peralta in the attack.

Veteran Rafael Márquez, Francisco Rodríguez, Andrés Guardado and Héctor Moreno are all in the backline for Mexico, which beat Israel 3-0 at home in their last game three days ago.

Marco Fabian, who has visa troubles earlier this week is with the side and is on the bench, so too are Jose de Jesus Corona and Carlos Salcido.

Ecuador has decided to start this game with Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia on the bench, but he is expected to get some playing time as the match progresses.
