LIVERPOOL, Sporting Alert – How to watch today’s English Premier League clash between rivals Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield.
Kick-off time for this matchup is 3:00pm ET and there are plenty of television and streaming platforms available to follow every second of this contest.
NBC Sports Live and NBCSN are the platforms streaming the game for the viewers in the USA, while Sky Sports 1/HD UK, BBC Radio 5 Live, TalkSport Radio MUTV Online and LFCTV GO are providing coverage live for viewers in the UK.
Monday’s game will close out the Week 8 fixtures and both teams will be hunting a win as they seek to trim the gap between them and the early leaders in the EPL table standings.
A win for Liverpool would see Jurgen Klopp’s side joining Manchester City and Arsenal at the top of the league standings on 19 points.
If Jose Mourinho’s side takes all three points on Monday, it will join the Reds on 16 points in fourth place.
Base on current form, Liverpool head into the clash as the favourite to beat Manchester United, but Mourinho wants his side to play without fear.
The Portuguese coach has won eight of his 12 English Premier League battles with Liverpool during his two stints in charge of Chelsea, with two ending in draws and two in defeats.
“We will try to win, that is for sure,” he told www.manutd.com. “When they have the ball we have to defend and when we have the ball we have to attack.”
Liverpool, under the guidance of Klopp, have scored more goals than any other English Premier League side since October 2015, and Mourinho knows the Red Devils must stifle that attack if they are going to leave Anfield with anything.
“We want to stop them scoring and the best way to do this is with 11 men and to score we want to be dominant, have the ball and this is what we are doing.”
Manchester United have been inconsistent with their performances this season, but Klopp remains fearful.
“We have respect for our opponent, as we respect every opponent we face,” he said on www.iverpoolfc.com. “I know there is great rivalry between our two clubs, but rivalry with respect is something that I believe in.
“In our hearts we will be giving our all and giving everything to win. So will Manchester United.
“I think by having great passion but respecting what our opponent also stands for, we can go into this match looking to produce something that is wonderful.
“This is my hope.”
