louis van gaal to be sacked or quit manchester united?

Man United forward Radamel Falcao could miss Chelsea clash

MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — Radamel Falcao could miss the English Premier League high-profiled clash between Manchester United and Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The on loan Colombian forward picked up a knock in training this week, Man United said on its website, which could keep him out of the home game.

“He got a kick in the morning [on Friday] so we have to wait and see if he’s fit enough,” Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal said on the club’s site at www.manutd.com, adding: “But it’s not a knee problem.

“He had a knee problem but not anymore. We have to build Falcao up, that I have also said in the first press conference when he came to our club.

“It is difficult because we are playing [games] already, that’s difficult but we have played him because I like the way he was playing so we play with two strikers.

“Now I have to choose between two strikers, even three because [James] Wilson can also play, the younger player.”

Falcao was in line to steal the nod over Robin van Persie as the lone forward for Sunday’s game, but the Holland striker now looks well set to retain his place in the starting XI.

Club captain Wayne Rooney, who will complete his three-match suspension, will be ineligible for this contest, but summer signing Angel di Maria will start after he shook off a slight thigh injury he picked up in the 2-2 draw against West Bromwich on Monday.

Manchester United will be hoping for the victory that would see them move back close to the top of the table, while a win will see Chelsea go five points clear of Southampton at the top in the EPL standings, and eight ahead of defending champions Manchester City, who were beaten 2-1 at West Ham United on Saturday.
