NCAA top 25 Men’s College Basketball results, scores – Jan. 29

(Sporting Alert) — The 14th ranked Wisconsin, No. 21 Massachusetts and the sliding 24th ranked Ohio State all fell in NCAA top 25 Men’s College Basketball results on Wednesday night.

On the same night, No. 1 Arizona (21-0) and No. 2 Syracuse (20-0) stayed undefeated this season with respective wins over Stanford and Wake Forest.

Top ranked Arizona survived Stanford challenge to improved to 21-0 with a 60-57 victory, as Nick Johnson scored 16 points and T.J. McConnell added 11 and Brandon Ashley, 10 in the win for the Wildcats.

Dwight Powell and Josh Huestis each scored 13 points for Stanford (13-7) in the defeat.

Meanwhile, No. 2 Syracuse beat Wake Forest 67-57 on their way to matching the program’s best start in school history.

Tyler Ennis scored 18 points, C.J. Fair finished with 16 points and eight rebounds, and Jerami Grant added 10 points and 12 boards in the win for the Orange.

Suffering defeats on the night were No. 14 Wisconsin, which went down 65-56 to the unranked Northwestern, St. Bonaventure (13-8) surprised No. 21 Massachusetts (17-3), 78-65 and Penn State (11-10) scored a 71-70 overtime victory over No. 24) Ohio State (16-5), which dropped their fifth game in the last six outings.
