The undefeated Blue Devils (9-0) will be opening league play on the road for the fifth time in seven years.
Talented freshman Marvin Bagley III, who is averaging 21.9 points and 11.2 rebounds per game, leads Duke’s offense this season, but he has a very good supporting cast.
Bagley III also has an NCAA-best nine double-double this season, including six straight.
Grayson Allen, Wendell Carter Jr, Trevon Duval and Gary Trent Jr are all scoring in double-digits for the Blue Devils, who are one of nine remaining undefeated teams.
Bagley III had 21 points and 11 rebounds when Duke used a 71-points first-half display to setup its 124-67 rout of St. Francis (Pa.) on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Boston College enters Saturday’s contest with a 6-3 record.
The Eagles scored a 73-61 victory over Hartford on the road last Saturday night to end a two-game skid and they will be hoping to be the first team to hand Duke its first defeat this term.
Jerome Robinson’s 16.0 points per game lead the way for Boston College this season, as four players are averaging in double figures.
Ky Bowman is scoring 15.8 points per game, Deontae Hawkins is recording 12.4 points and 9.1 rebounds, and Jordan Chatman is putting up 10.6 ppg, for the Eagles.
When these two teams met last season, the Blue Devils came away with a 93-82 victory at Cameron Indoor Stadium, with Jayson Tatum scoring a team-high 22 points.
Duke will be aiming to improve on its 28-9 record in ACC openers under veteran coach Mike Krzyzewski.
