Wade was rested for the 114-110 loss to the Sixers because of sore knees, but returns for the contest at Barclays Center, after he took part in Friday’s morning shootaround.

The Nets, with former Boston Celtics veterans, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in the lineup, were beaten 98-94 at the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday night.

The game welcomes a new rivalry between the two sides, following comments made by Deron Williams, who says he believes this new-look Brooklyn setup is in a much better position to beat the two-time defending champions this season.

Brooklyn has suffered defeat in their last 13 clashes against the Miami Heat.

“I don’t know if we felt we were a better team than the Heat last year,” Williams said on ESPN.

“I think in order for us to be able to beat them this year, we have to feel like we are a better team and we can beat them. And I think we do.”
