NEWCASTLE (Sporting Alert) — Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will recall a number of his first-choice players for Saturday’s English Barclays Premier League trip to Newcastle.

Mourinho rested the likes of Fernando Torres, Oscar, Petr Cech, John Terry, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard in the 2-0 Capital One Cup win over Arsenal in midweek.

But after making 10 changes for that game, the Portugal coach will strengthen his starting lineup again for the EPL clash.

Newcastle United was beaten 2-0 in the League Cup in midweek by Manchester City, which added to the disappointing 2-1 defeat in the league at Sunderland.

Manager Alan Pardew has dismissed suggestions that he is coming under heavy pressure from the owners, but did admits that his team must begin to start producing better results.

Captain and leading center-back Fabricio Coloccini is expected to be out still as he continues his recovery from a groin injury.

Papiss Cisse will return to the bench after failing to convinced the manager the he should keep his starting place from midweek, with Loic Remy set to get a recall to lead the attack.

Newcastle is looking for a quick fix after losing three of their last five Premier League matches. The Magpies have won just once in their four home fixtures in the Premier League this season.

At the same time, Mourinho’s Chelsea team comes into this game in searching for a fourth successive league victory, and a seventh victory in a row in all competitions.
