HOUSTON (Sporting Alert) — The Houston Rockets will look to build on their Christmas Day victory over the San Antonio Spurs when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night.

When these two clubs last met on Nov. 25, the Rockets (19-11) came away with a 93-86 victory over the Grizzlies (12-15).
In their Christmas Day fixture on Wednesday, James Harden scored 28 points and Terrence Jones added 21 points and 14 rebounds in Houston’s 111-98 win in San Antonio, while Chandler Parsons finished 21 points, six rebounds and six assists in the victory.
Star Center Dwight Howard was also a big time contributor, adding 20 rebounds and scored 15 points for the Rockets.
On Thursday night they will face a Memphis team, which has won its last two after losing five successive.
In their last game, the Grizzlies picked up a 104-94 victory over the Utah Jazz on Monday.
Marc Gasol continues to be out for the travelers, so the likes of Zach Randolph, who is averaging 16.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game and Mike Conley, who is averaging 17.3 points per game, will again lead the team at the Toyota Center.
Veteran forward Tayshaun Prince who sat out the last three games with a sore left knee, is listed as day-to-day.
The Rockets are second in the NBA for points scored per game at 106.5, while the Grizzlies are seventh in points given up, at 97.1 ppg.
