MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — There is no Robin van Persie again in the starting team for Manchester United in today’s English Premier League clash with West Bromwich at Old Trafford. He, however, is on the bench.

Van Persie missed United’s last two games, but the Dutch striker in on the bench for today’s contest after recover from a groin injury he picked up in practice before the Manchester derby defeat.
Javier Hernandez, who scored the winner against Liverpool in the Capital One Cup in midweek, starts again up front for alongside Wayne Rooney, who again captains the side in the absence of regular skipper Nemanja Vidic.
Jonny Evans keeps his place from the midweek squad and he plays with Rio Ferdinand , while Phil Jones starts at left back and Alexander Buttner on the other, with Patrice Evra on the bench.
Nani, Michael Carrick, Anderson and Shinji Kagawa all start as well, with Antonio Valencia and Marouane Fellaini amongst the substitutes.
Meanwhile, former Everton forward Victor Anichebe comes up against his ex-boss as he starts for West Brom, so too are Scott Sinclair, Stephane Sessegnon and Youssouf Mulumbu.
