Kompany continues to struggle with a thigh problem, while Demichelis remains sideline with knee injury, but the English Premier League side is expected to have everyone else fit for the contest.

Goal Machine Sergio Aguero will lead the attack again, but manager Manuel Pellegrini is yet to decide on whether to start with Edin Dzeko or Alvaro Negredo as the Argentine strike partner.

Ball winning midfielder Fernandinho is expected to start the game and he has called on the EPL side to go hard for all three points.

“This is all about six points because we play CSKA twice back-to-back and we must win there,” Fernandinho said.

“If we do that and then beat them at home, we will take a big step towards qualification. We have two hard away games this week with Chelsea coming up on Sunday, but we will try to keep our concentration.

“We have to go for the win. We can’t think about the draw – we need to go there and leave with three points.”

Manchester City (from): Hart, Pantilimon, Richards, Zabaleta, Nastasic, Lescott, Boyata, Garcia, Kolarov, Clichy, Milner, Nasri, Navas, Silva, Toure, Fernandinho, Negredo, Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic.
