(Sporting Alert) — Frank Lampard returns in midfield for Chelsea in tonight’s English Premier League fixture with Sunderland at Stadium of Light.

The England international comes in for Michael Essien, who started in the weekend victory over Southampton, but has been dropped to the bench, while Willian comes in to replace the injured Oscar.

Juan Mata keeps his place in the starting team and will feature behind lone striker Fernando Torres, with 14. Andre Schurrle, Kevin De Bruyne and Demba Ba all on the bench.

Ashley Cole once again remains on the bench, as Cesar Azpilicueta starts.

For Sunderland, Jozy Altidore and Jack Colback have replaced Steven Fletcher and Seb Larsson, who are both take on the bench for tonight’s game.
