NEW YORK (Sporting Alert, Box Score) -- Results and Box Scores from the NFL games that took place in Week 15 on Sunday, December 14.
Action on the day saw the New England Patriots clinching their sixth successive AFC East title after thrashing the Miami Dolphins 41-13 at Gillette Stadium.
Tom Brady threw for 287 yards and two touchdowns as the Patriots (11-3) pulled away in the second half for their seventh win in a row at home and ninth in the last 10 games overall.
"We didn't play very well in the first half," New England coach Bill Belichick told reporters after the game.
"We just took some not very good football and made it worse and then were able to do things a lot better in the second half."
At the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Andrew Luck and the Colts (10-4) beat the Houston Texans (7-7), 17-10 to clinched their second-straight AFC South division title.
Luck went 18 of 34 on completed passes for 187 yards and two touchdown for Indianapolis, which according to the stats gurus, improved to 13-0 all-time at home against the Houston Texans, which had a two game win streak snapped.
Houston's quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was carted off the field early in the second quarter with a reported broken left leg and he will be out for the rest of the season.
Also sealing a division title on Sunday were the Denver Broncos (11-3).
Star quarterback Peyton Manning battled through a thigh problem and flu-like symptoms to complete 14 of 20 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Broncos to a 22-10 victory over the San Diego Chargers (8-6) and win the AFC West title for the fourth straight year.
Green Bay (10-4) had its five game winning streak snapped after the Bills (8-6) upset the Packers 21-13, on a day when quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw two interception that went to Bacarri Rambo in the defeat.
Rodgers went 17 for 42 passes for 185 yards and no touchdowns in the game for Green Bay at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
It was also a disappointing night for the San Francisco 49ers (7-7), who were eliminated from playoff contention after losing 17-7 at the Seattle Seahawks.
Defeat to the Seahawks on Sunday and Detroit Lions' (10-4) 16-14 win over Minnesota, meant that Jim Harbaugh's 49ers, who reached the NFC title games three successive years, missed out at playing in the postseason this term.
Elsewhere on Sunday Kansas City (8-4) defeated Oakland Raiders 31-13 to stay second in the AFC West, while the Carolina Panthers (5-8-1), playing without star QB Cam Newton, who was in an accident during the week, edged the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-12), 19-17.
Newton's replacement at quarterback, Derek Anderson threw for 277 yards and a touchdown in the victory.
