Manning helps Broncos to 27-7 HT lead over Raiders

DENVER (Sporting Alert) — Peyton Manning has already thrown for three touchdowns and the Denver Broncos lead the Oakland Raiders 27-7 at half-time in their NFL Monday Night Football clash at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Manning threw passes to Eric Decker in the first quarter and then Wes Welker and Julius Thomas in the second quarter as the home side dominated the opening half of the game.

The Broncos had rushed out to a 17-0 lead before the Oakland Raiders got on the scoresheet, when Denarius Moore scored from a 73 yard pass from Terrelle Pryor.

Manning has so far pass for 264 yards.

The Broncos won their opening game of the season, beating the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Giants, while Raiders beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in their last outing, but suffered a defeat to the Indianapolis Colts in the season opener.
