(Sporting Alert) — Striker Nicklas Bendtner leads the attack for Arsenal in tonight’s League Cup 3rd Rnd game against West Bromwich at The Hawthorns.

Bendtner, who returns to Arsenal, following a series of loan spells, has been getting the backing from his manager Arsene Wenger since his return and Dane forward was rewarded with a starting place tonight, his first first since August 2011.
Also starting tonight is midfielder Mikel Arteta, who is back from injury.
Per Metesacker and Serge Gnabry, who started in the last League game against Stoke City, following the injury to Theo Walcott, are the only players to have kept their place from the last outing, as manager Steve Clarke makes eight changes to his team.
Meanwhile, Youssouf Mulumbu, Stephane Sessegnon and Scott Sinclair keep their places from the West Bromwich side that beat Sunderland 3-0 in the EPL on Saturday.
Uruguay defender Diego Lugano comes into the team to make his second start for the home side.
