Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders Week 7 Live Stream: Oct. 19

NFL round-up and scores - Alex Smith

OAKLAND, Calif., Sporting Alert — Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders will both try to bounce back in Week 7 when they return from the short week of preparation to battle at Oakland Coliseum in Thursday Night Football.

CBS will provide live television coverage of this game, starting at 8:25 p.m. ET. Watch live stream on NFL Network

Kansas City (5-1) fell to its first defeat of the season after Sunday’s 19-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Andy Reid’s men will be desperate to get back to winning ways to kick-off Week 7.

Oakland (2-4), in the meantime, has been struggling since starting the season with two straight wins, after losing four games in a row and failing to score 20 points on all four occasions.

Chiefs v Raiders Leaders heading into NFL clash

Heading into tonight’s game, the Chiefs have also conquered the Raiders in their last five meetings and seven in eight overall.

This is why it’s very little surprising to see ESPN’s Football Power Index favoring Kansas City with a 57 percent chance to make it six wins in a row in this series.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, who has lost his last five starts against the Chiefs and has a 56 percent completion rate during that span, has passed for 924 yards with eight touchdowns in five games this season.

Carr has, however, thrown four interceptions in the three losses with a 69.2 passer rating.

Meanwhile, Alex Smith has already thrown for 1,637 yards and 12 touchdowns and is yet to be picked off in this campaign.

The veteran Chiefs quarterback was roughed up by the Steelers in the loss on Sunday, but he’s expected to have a less stressful night against Oakland, which is in the bottom third of the league in both sack and pressure rates.

In early team news, the NFL Network is reporting that former San Francisco 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman will be among the starters for the Raiders against the Chiefs.

Bowman, who recently made his way out of San Francisco and joined Oakland, will be given a starting place right away.

Tackles Marshall Newhouse and Darius Latham and cornerback Gareon Conley have been ruled out of the contest.

Running back Charcandrick West, center Mitch Morse and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif are all out for Kansas City.

NFL PREDICTION: Kansas City Chiefs 26, Oakland Raiders 20
